"L is for Lollipop: A Girl's Guide to the Alphabet" is a sophisticated educational tool for children, ages 4-6, featuring photographs of toys and other objects representing each letter of the alphabet, bound in a unique format resembling flash cards, and including practice pages. Working with a young 9-year-old girl as my "hand model", and long exposures, the images capture her hands in motion assembling and re-assembling the objects as they were scattered across a piece of watercolor paper in my studio. Some of the toys and other objects which might be found in a young girl’s playroom, included vintage Barbie dolls, tea cups, lollipops, stuffed animals, etc.
